It was a fateful night, deep in the Black Forest. The Handy Kap Kids have started on a path of deceit and destruction involving L. Bo’s missing father, Allie’s unexpected arrival, Miles’ untimely return, Taylor’s many troubles and Sunni’s knight in rusty armor. Not to mention the meaning of the document found in the broken leg of a chair that belonged to Mrs. Holmes or what the contents of the big yellow envelope delivered to the Gation home contained. The kids do not give up until they come face to face with the truths that may cost them their lives.

Abstract:
Five kids of different backgrounds find themselves in a small town in the Midwest. They come together and form the Handy Kap Club. Uncle Foster lives on the outskirts of town and takes them under his wing. He shows them that we all have handicaps. You don’t need to be in a wheelchair or on crutches. The things that cripple and damage us the most are the character flaws like a gossipy tongue, a bad attitude, etc. The key is who is in charge, God or us. God’s number for grace is five. There are five fingers on a hand. When we take His hand and allow him to lead us our weakness become our strengths, our handicaps become our assets. Their Kaps identify their personalities, and the color, their strengths. It is these life lessons, learned with humor and mystery that make this an adventure worth investigating and a trip well worth taking.
