Abstract:
Raised in a Catholic Orphanage, Tom Johnson runs away at age sixteen. Homeless and penniless, on his twenty-first birthday, he resolves to become famous in the Country Western Music field. Hitchhiking, he’s picked up by an auto repair shop owner, finds a home, learns that trade, attends church, and makes friends, renewing his hopes. In Oklahoma, a Sister finds work for him as a singer/guitarist. Spotted by a talent agent, he receives offers to appear in an exclusive country club and a large hotel. He rapidly makes his way to Nashville, finds love along the way fulfilling his resolution.
