Abstract:
Told by a gypsy that he and his horse would ride together to glory, Richard Neville, England’s Earl of Warwick, placed two kings on the throne as he fought for his vision of good government. Putting loyalty to the House of Neville ahead of loyalty to the crown, he sought honor and furtherance of the fortunes of this family while striving for his country’s welfare. His quest for attaining these goals was contested time and again by adherents of Queen Margaret and the Woodvilles in a continuing struggle that ended on the battlefield at Barnet.
