Abstract:
The United States of America is the last standing Super-Power on the planet Earth. After 911 we became focused on Anti-Terrorism. We are a nation at war against Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction. Our overall concern is Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction? We must be leaders among leaders. Leaders in our field, our nation, our society and on our planet Earth. Why? Because if we don’t, who will? I followed a basic three-step process or technique in writing this book. One – tell your readers what you are going to say “summary”. Two – cover in detail the information at hand “the nine chapters”. Three – inform your readers what you said “conclusion”.

Review of Leadership in our Society , 09/03/2005
Reviewer: Jerry R. Nuss
I found this book by accident. I was doing a search for Roy K. Lintz and the book came up during the search. I ordered a copy to see what it was about. Obviously the title is an indication it is about "Leadership in our Society" but every author has a different idea that they are trying to convey. I read the book three times. At first I read it cover to cover. There were some gramatical and typographical errors. And chapter nine specifically addresses the author's experiences at the U.S. Army Sergeant Major Academy. This may or may not be beneficial to the general public. Although I believe it will be of value if a person understands the intent of the chapter, which is really an after action review of the experience. On the second and third reading I took my time and read it slowly. I would read a paragraph then reflect on what it meant to me. This is the real value of the book. It asks a person to consider their life and how they are as a leader. When a person slows down and takes the time to absorb and integrate the information in the book then it is of tremendous value. The book should be picked up and read on different occassions. If a person can live up to the goals and standards they set for themselves and see themself through the eyes of others then they can achieve in becoming a great leader. There may be some gramatical and typographical errors but the message the author is conveying is 100% dead on accurate. In the beginning of this review I wrote that I found the book by accident while doing a search for Roy K. Lintz. Roy K. Lintz has been the most influential person in my adult life. He was my platoon sergeant at two different duty stations while I was in the Army. He was instrumental in the standards I set for myself and students. So his book has special meaning for me. The amazing part is the author was my platoon seargent for several years almost eighteen years ago and everything in the book is what I was taught when I became a NCO.
