Abstract:
Hunter L. Pemberton is a naïve, insecure, and cheerless computer software analyst in the twilight of his years. A few weeks in his black middle-class life become a time of interminable drama when a missing lottery ticket worth millions entwines his life with that of nineteen-year old Ashby, a callous, street smart exotic dancer with a passel of young, black attitude. Together, Hunter and Ashby stumble down a road pockmarked with deceit, sex, and violence as they seek the multi-million-dollar prize. But if they fail, they might just have to walk away with nothing more than a priceless love and a mutual healing of souls.
