Easy and Durwood grew up in near-poverty, alternating the excitement of theater with a more staid existence of farm life

Abstract:
Easy and Durwood’s parents enjoyed the excitement of the theater. But, our United States suffered the disappointment of the 1929 depression. The well-to-do life and excitement of traveling with the theater turned into the necessity of being sent to live with their grandparents. In one condition, the boys were treated to the artistic atmosphere of show business. While living with their grandparents, they were involved with chores and necessities of working hard on a farm.

Very Enjoyable and Carefree Story , 09/25/2004

Here's a chronicle you will enjoy about two brothers growing up in rural Kansas pre-World War II. It tells of the happy times, sorrows, and adventures that happen to two boys. I highly recommend it.
