Want real happiness?. Find true love ..You can have everything. Choose wisely. Your destination depends on you.!

Abstract:
Since the beginning, people have struggled to find love, happiness, and purpose in their lives. There is no way to do this except by tapping into our spiritual energy. Far too often we have struggled to find a self-identity that eludes us, usually because we consider the Spirit an abstract concept, useless in the "real" world. We'll follow in the footsteps of Lew Adams as he undertakes a modern spiritual quest for God, examines the role of freedom of choice, and sees the ultimate reality in a new light. Our personal metamorphoses determine the poverty or wealth of our lives.

I found myself wishing the author would write a spiritual autobiograpy because I was so intrigued with trying to determine if the protagonist was purely fictional, or perhaps partly based on a real character. I decided I must start selling this book in my Christian bookstore.

I cannot say I have been in touch with the spiritual side of my being. This book has made me want to arrive at a greater understanding of what it means.

What a refreshing blessing! It's easy reading, it's interesting, it moves (there are breaks--chapters) if one needs them. It was like a series of very good Sunday school lessons...the kind that makes you want to finish next week's lesson in advance. The teacher in you was apparent...as was the geniune goodness of your soul. I'm recommending the book to my church family. Thank you for writing Growing the Spirit. May God Bless you.

I think that each poem that begins a chapter is simply great and sets a good tone for the story that follows. It is a very good book.

I finally had time to read "Growing the Spirit" and was impressed by the creativity and complexity of the work. I shed a few tears a couple times and I hope it does indeed move others.

It grabs you and hugs you , 11/18/2004

I would rate this book 5 stars just for the poetry that starts each chapter. At times I laughed out loud and other times cried. I connected very deeply with Lew's stories. The last sentence " 'Thank you,'" she whispered" says it all. I was reminded how much God loves me.
