Abstract:
Jacob C. Stucki was born in 1926 in Neillsville, Wisconsin, at the Winnebago Indian Mission School founded and run by his father. He attended his father’s school through 8th grade. After High School in Neillsville he entered the US Navy as an officer candidate. After honorable discharge from the Navy he entered the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he was granted BS, MS and PhD degrees in Zoology. He conducted research in the pharmaceutical industry from 1954 to 1989 at the Wm. S. Merrell Co. and The Upjohn Company. He retired from Upjohn as Corporate Vice President for Research in 1989.
