Abstract:
Called "a powerful reading experience" by a member of the prestigious National Book Critics Circle, Shadow of Guilt rises from a neglectful husband, a dissatisfied wife, and a vengeful arsonist out to kill both of them. On a night he should've been home, prominent PR man Chip Keller puts business and an affair first, leaving his family at the mercy of a killer. Stricken with guilt by what he's done, Chip drops out of life, then slowly begins a monumental struggle to reclaim it, trying to rescue a woman who is also drowning in guilt, and re-connect with his children, who blame him for what happened.
