Second Chance offers a fascinating inside look at what life is like in a Continuing Care Retirement Community. The residents of this unique community of extraordinarily accomplished individuals voice how and why they have chosen this lifestyle, and how they have adjusted to it. The author, who lived in the community as a resident/researcher, was intimately involved with its residents, its staff and the full range of its day to day activities. This is a wise and touching portrait of a group of very interesting individuals aspiring to live their final years in joy and dignity among their peers.
