Abstract:
Camel Fables… is a collection of stories about the camels and drivers that survived in the deserts thousands of years ago. The mystery of how a camel can live in such an environment parallels that of the horse. Throughout our life, we are confronted with challenges. Solving them is not easily learned. As the camel and driver in these stories use simple logic, so should we today. A comical almost foolish method becomes an answer to the problem. Foolish far fetched ideas, were the camels way to survival. Classic stories like these this gives one food for thought in a strange different way.

I wrote this book five years ago but delayed its editing. At publishing time, the Iraq war was in full swing. The public exposure to anything related to mid East conditions started to sicken a good many people. Success in reviews on a subject like this is now tainted. It will be so perhaps for years. Nothing can change the wrong time this book was published. It is a perfect example of circumstantial timing. Only a reader can decide this. There is no connection between this book and the Iraq War. Local reviews are great. Thurlow R.Weed Jr.

Best Fable Collection Ever! , 07/06/2005
Reviewer: Bobby Camel Lover
In History there have been several great spinners of fables and tall tales: Aesop, Mark Twain, and now Thurlow Weed. This book might be overlooked by adults, but the simple truths contained within are universally powerful. I recommend this purchase without reservation to everyone out there. I admit I cried several times before reaching the end of the final passage. If only mankind would pause for a moment and consider the lessons of the camel, we would have everlasting peace, and surely put an end to world hunger. Weed is not only a top notch writer, but also a fantastic illustrator. His own artistic masterpieces grace the cover and stories. In short, order this book now. You won't regret it!
