Abstract:
In Search of Truly Noland is the autobiographical story of one man’s journey in search of inner peace and enlightenment. The story traces the life of S.D. Bates from his early years in San Francisco, California, in the 1950’s, through the trials of an abusive upbringing, ferocious combat in Vietnam, the resulting personal struggles with the destructive effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and, finally, spiritual redemption through the discovery of the higher self within. With the help of Truly Noland the author realizes the secrets of overcoming fear and living in the warm light of love, peace, freedom, and happiness.

I hope, but am not sure, the Author understands the REAL GIFT he has given to his readers. WE all have a disfunctional family, a Viet Nam Vet, a brother, and sister, a mother, a lover, that we can relate to in this story. Did not want this story to end, wishing to find for myself, the True way to live this life, that seems ugly and phony, in the spiritual realm. The courage, honor, and honesty it took to write this book, is a true gift to the reader...so well written, that you felt you were there. Please, continue such an endeavour, to allow others in this life, full of pain, to find peace and love, for all that we know and love. Thankyou...and AGAIN....thankyou.
