Abstract:
A psychotherapist comes to a realization that he despises one of his clients who, although he is not conscious of it, reminds him of a neighbor who sexually abused him in his youth.

When the client is found dead with a plastic sheet over his head, the police theorize that his son-in-law, the last person seen going into his room in the nursing home, killed him to preserve the inheritance. Was it murder, manslaughter, suicide, or euthanasia? It is left to the reader to decide. Also, who of the various personages in the novel is the primary client as per the book’s title?
