Abstract:
My good friend Ralph Wallis has written, “Everyone has a story to tell, some extremely interesting and others just interesting, but one thing for sure, no two are exactly alike.” This is my story of growing up in a small rural community in Illinois during the 1950s and 1960s. Histories of family, community, and schools are included as are details of my interests in hunting and fishing, medical situations, and jobs held while growing up. This is a book describing times past when gas was 25¢ a gallon and youngsters of all ages looked forward to their first television set.
