From the islands in Minnesota to the islands in the South Pacific and nine battle stars, what happened in between? An American Hero shares his memories.

Abstract:
Share WWII experiences from the eyes of a young sailor away from home and in the thick of battle. His gripping tales of the bucket brigade saving the ship and watching the flag being raised on Iwo Jima are truly humbling. Sail Easy supports his narrative with previously confidential war documents few would ever have the opportunity to view. He recalls both his anguish and joy as he reminisces from his early childhood memories to present in this intriguing autobiography. This is the heartwarming story of a true American hero.
