Abstract:
From the haphazard reasons for a World War, to growing up in the Rural South, Windows of Opportunity (WOO) analyzes fate, fear, hate, love and our search for understanding. The reader is taken deep into the Inner Psyche of life and shown why we should exploit every opportunity given us. Why we exist, how we interact with others and a zest for living fuels this book. Emphasis is placed on intimate and social bonding. At journey’s end, it is hoped the reader might better understand self, others and destiny. WOO culminates with a special collection of the Author’s Poetic works. www.whatwouldthurleysay.com

This book is not for the feable minded. Then again, it may just be what the doctor ordered. It all makes simple sense. Why didn't I discover Windows of Opportunity earlier? I'm giving this to my neice for Xmas this year! I hope there's a follow up book! Joe (Green Bay, Wisconsin)

Not having visited the south, I was totally absorbed by the stories of T. Hurley's childhood. I could picture the characters in my mind...Leon,the bully, Lucinda, the beautiful girl, the much-loved grandparents, the mean teacher...I wanted to read more of his stories and hear about the people in his life. I hope his next book will tell us more about his experiences. I can't wait to read it. I can picture Mr. H. on Oprah. Richard LA, Cal.

I would give this book 10 stars , but that wasn't an option. This book contains alot of my life as well as Hurley. I grew up in the south and alot of information in this book hit home. I'm glad Dusty grew up to be the man that he is today. I would recommend this book to any one going down the trail of life.

WOO has really given me the opportunity to analyze some of the decisions that I have made in my life, good and bad. Taking my own experiences and thrusting them between the words of this book has awakened my self-awareness and has allowed me to do a bit of "soul searching", as it were. If you are like me and always want to know why something is, why anything is, then this is definitely the book for you.

I don't know nothing about the south, but I grew up in East Germany and my life was kinda like Dusty's. It is a great book to read, and I would recommend it to any one. Sabine SA, Tx
