Abstract:
A dead tree stands in the backyard of the Long family home. It is the symbol of evil long buried deep in the mind of a child, now a woman. She has been incarcerated in a rest home for the criminally insane, and today Mary Alice comes home. She does battle with evil, and takes the reader on a journey through the worlds of the visible and invisible. Mary Alice fights the temptations of the First Demon, and rejects the offerings of wealth, power, and the One World Leader, the Xpistos. It is her faith in the Judeo-Christian Religious Heritage that sustains her will to overcome hideous obstacles.
