Abstract:
Jacob’s one wish in life is to see his grandson. Sick with black lung disease, he dies one week before his grandson Joseph is born. His will is so strong that when Joseph is seven years old he returns as a spirit that only Joseph can see and talk to. His mission is to protect Joseph. Follow their adventures through public school, where Jacob is educated as well as Joseph and through World War II where Joseph is a Flight Engineer on a B29 bomber. In the Korean War they team up to apprehend a spy. See how Jacob affects Joseph’s private love life.
