A Helping Hand: A Story to Help Children Learn About School Counselors is a non-fiction story that helps its readers learn about the different ways school counselors help children learn and grow. The illustrations, text, and reproducible activity pages allow the reader to see the counselor interacting in a variety of ways with students, school staff members, and parents. The story eliminates the fears and answers questions many children and adults have about counseling. School counselors are an important part of the educational process and they can truly be a helping hand to students, parents, and teachers.
