Abstract:
My quest for the truth had to pass tests that required the development of skills that would ensure a path to success. As a result I had to experience all the planned and unplanned adventures and intellectual exercises that life would send in my direction. That was exactly what I needed in order to discover the tremendous power of the human brain. The words in this volume describe those adventures and exercises in childhood, through a move from Missouri to California, into high school, and on to colorful undergraduate days at U.C., Berkeley, and a thrilling adventure with the Draft Board.
