Abstract:
Thirteen-year-old Jessie’s life is turned upside down when her mother and little brother are involved in an horrific car accident. Through their long recovery, Jessie must learn to trust God and His promises. She dreams of helping her brother with a new physical therapy involving horses, hippotherapy, and pours her heart and soul into making it available at Hope Ranch in her small town of Miller’s Creek. Would Jessie’s struggle to understand why God would allow such an event to happen finally be resolved as she learns to accept “The Offering” of hope that God freely gives?

This book was a great read and has a great story line. The best thing about this book is that it sets good moral standards for young girls. The author isn't afraid to share her faith with the young girls who will be reading the book which I believe is very refreshing to see in our "politically correct" world.

Great Book. The author brings in so many aspects of life that children and adults go through. Dealing with a parent and a child in recovery and a handicap child. A Book you can read and learn how God can intervene in a children's life, dealing with all these situations. Also is informative about Hippotherapy and will help families who can benefit for it. I like how the author is not afraid to put a religious connotations in the book. God Bless her for her beliefs and willingness to share that with our youth. I like what Nicole wrote also in her review.

As a boy, I read may feel good books based on sports stories. Now, a 66 year old man, I found the same enjoyment of those days in reading "The Offering". I'm sure the youth of our day would find this book to be as inspiring as I did.

Loved reading how Jessie thought through her decisions with prayer. What a role model for children to see Jessie's undying love for her family and especially her brother. I learned so much about hippotherapy that I'm going to look into it too. Great book for young girls.
