Abstract:
The Adventure of Quick Fox chronicles the rite of passage of a young Cherokee boy on his vision-quest to become a young brave. The reader travels with Quick Fox and his pony Diamond on a perilous seven day journey as he faces fear and overcomes the many dangers that he encounters along the way. Alone in the forest, Quick Fox is uncertain that he can overcome each new challenge. His mother taught him that there is a spirit-power in him which is stronger than anything outside of him. Quick Fox’s adventure is recognizing and relying on that inner spirit-guide.
