Abstract:
The Only Slavery Manual You’ll Ever Need. Martin Trane narrowly misses hanging, escapes and becomes a crewman on a slave ship that buys slaves at Cape Coast Castle in Africa and sells them in Barbados and Jamaica. The reader sees an accurate picture of the “slavery business” as told by the characters, slave and slaver alike. There are foot notes thoughout the book so readers can verify the historical points. Simultaneous sub-plots include a love story that starts as something else entirely, murders, escapes and a Spanish treasure ship. All collide in a suspenseful, explosive conclusion in Jamaica.
