Abstract:
A History of Parliamentary Procedure traces the history of public and private meeting processes from ancient times to 2006, including those of ancient Greek and Roman Assemblies, Parliament, Robert’s Rules of Order, the United Nations, and many other entities. This new fourth edition is a complete reworking of the former text, accompanied by two new chapters, one on American parliamentary procedure from 1950 to 2006 and one on contemporary international parliamentary procedure, including United Nations rules.
