Abstract:
The Widow and the Queen is a study of the Bible books of Ruth and Esther. Although Ruth was not born a Jew, her name is included in the lineage of both David and Jesus. Her life is an example of the grace of God that extends to all mankind. Esther was born a Jew, yet she became part of a pagan king’s harem. Her life is an example of the mercy of God being shown to even those who seek to hide their relationship with Him. There are many valuable lessons that can be learned from the lives of these two women.
