Abstract:
During the era of Prohibition, William Gottschall witnessed the murder of his father on the mob-controlled streets of Chicago. Escaping the killers, the lad flees to his feisty aunt in Pennsylvania. He arrives with his mother’s Jade Jewel Box and cash he and his dad had secretly siphoned from bootlegging whiskey. The cash is used to create a dairy empire, but revenge rears its ugly head. The dairies are threatened and several family members mysteriously murdered. William’s son, Samuel, and his friend Detective Stompter, are determined to find and prosecute those responsible before any more devastation can be perpetrated.
