Abstract:
My story involves two men who met on a trail that led them northwest to Montana where they worked on a cattle ranch. During their journey, and later on the ranch they were involved in adventures with people and wild life both good and bad.

They both married and spent the rest of their lives on Zack Iron’s ranch where they experienced tragedies hardships, and changes which dramatically affected how they lived. Though times were often hard and demanding, they were never dull, as they met the many challenges of the early western era.
