Abstract:
Frank James Drum, son of a Tennessee Baptist minister craved adventure. At 17 he ran away and joined the United States Air Corp. He found adventure in the Panama jungles and as a pilot of a P38 fighter during World War II. Shot down over the Philippine Island of Mindanao he spent eleven months destroying Japanese on the ground. By the end of the war he had his fill of adventure and decided to seek a dull vocation. As a Peaceful Valley School District Elementary Principal he didn’t expect intrigue, blackmail, murder and romance but that is what he got. It was anything but dull.
