The crew of the Reckless Faith must liberate an entire planet or face the prospect of their journey becoming a massive waste of time, ammunition, and cat food.

Abstract:
The crew of the Reckless Faith has spent six weeks in hyperspace traveling to a distant star system to fulfill an unknown mission. Upon arrival, it becomes clear that any hope for a quick resolution was only wishful thinking. Powerful political forces, an intergalactic mercenary guild, and a fleet of ruthless invaders are working to stop them. Traveling to Umber was just the beginning; liberating it seems impossible if the crew of the Faith must stand alone against The Tarantula Nebula.

The Tarantula Nebula This is the second installment of a great space opera. Although this is a great tale on its own, one should purchase author David Kantrowitz' precursor novel, Reckless Faith to fully appreciate this sequel. But I digress. Tarantula Nebula has a varied cast of human characters, an AI that is able to perform some pretty amazing things, even though it has a memory problem. Throw in a couple of pets, some neat guns, mercenaries, an evil empire and a galaxy or two that needs saving and we have a rollicking story that will have you settling in for the roller coaster ride, cover to cover. I love a good tale and this is one. I've been reading and enjoying science fiction since the '50's. Author Kantrowitz imagination and writing skill has rekindled my interest by weaving together some nifty sci-fi with a great adventure. The crew of the Reckless Faith doesn't have a cheerleader to save, but rather a galaxy. This story will have you wishing you could dump your everyday life and join the crew. Buy both books.
