Abstract:
A thousand years ago, the rogue mage, Quintus, imprisoned an alien wizard, hoping to steal his magic. He hid the keys, four indestructible rods, all around the world. When the alien promised the rogue mage, Rathgar, to share his magic, he sets out to steal the riddle of their hiding places. Marcus must find them first. After two years he brings them to Emperium only to have Rathgar steal them away and release the alien mage. In fulfilling his destiny, Marcus faces not only the two mages, but also the return of the Master Breed.
