Abstract:
When a young female architect buys a country Victorian home to convert into a bed and breakfast she discovers the diary of the daughter of the original owners. It chronicles a fight against the devil and a hoard of his minions that dwell in the house’s basement by night. His minions begin to visit the woman in the night to try to persuade her to join with the devil, promising eternal life. Aided by the ghost of the daughter, she refuses their offer and fends off their threats and sets about to block their passage from the underworld to make her home and the rest of the world safe from their evil intents.
