Abstract:
In the midst of a storm, Frannie Oliveri arrives home, finds her dog chained outside, her home invaded and her cousin’s infant daughter abandoned inside. But Suzanne Oliveri is not heard from all night and by morning a search begins. Everyone fears Suzanne is either dead, held captive or trapped by the violent storm. When one of those fears is realized, and Suzanne hospitalized in a coma, her troubles intensify. The man she lived with in New York, but left when two months pregnant, is found murdered in his room at The Admiral’s Inn and all evidence points a red-hot accusatory finger at Suzanne.
