Lyn Hill is a sculptor of character and storyline in her new book – “Dynamo - a Tale of Discovery in Montreal”!Her grandfather tells the story of his father “lighting up” Montreal. What indomitable spirit . . . what strength of character! This tale is a recreation of the lives of a strong Victorian French- Scottish family. Lyn’s grandfather, young Ernest, tells of his life and times in his journal. He is a dutiful and caring young man who has had instilled in him, through well-defined family values, the desire to succeed and fulfill his dreams. Every young person, indeed every person of any age, will enjoy this captivating tale based on the lives of a real family - the “Craigs”. The story deals with issues such as ethnic bigotry, women’s rights and the care of the poor. Family values, faith in God, a belief in doing the right thing, and the motivation to succeed in inventing a working dynamo excite the reader and make us feel a part of this marvelous family.
