Everybody starts hearing your thoughts. Everyone on TV is talking to you because all TV’s have cameras in them and a thought transmitter was placed in your brain during rhinoplasty. Jasmine On Meds is about schizophrenia.

Abstract:
Jasmine On Meds portrays schizophrenia as it rages episodically through a woman’s life. We follow a woman in her early fifties who has spent nearly three decades in and beyond the outer boundaries of sanity.

In her alternate reality, presidents and kings know her by name and she awaits her televised arrest and execution for imagined crimes. She believes she broadcasts her thoughts through a transmitter that was placed in her brain during rhinoplasty. Her lack of privacy inspires paternalistic Muslim terrorism against the United States and the West.

During her sane stretches of time she paints portraits and befriends two men who are romantic interests. We watch her learn not to take her ego along when once again she falls into the chasm that is schizophrenia.
