The Voice of Leadership , 10/10/2007
Reviewer: John Sikes (Chicago)
Collins is an active duty Navy Officer and it is apparent that his over 20 years of leadership has led to success. He starts with "Table Talk on Leadership" which cleverly sets the stage for business professionals to understand the meaning of doing the right thing without being told. He uses the true story..."Carry the message to Garcia" by Elbert Hubbard. Collins covers such indepth issues as mediocre performance, laziness, tardiness, and half-hearted work and how it affects the entire organization. He demands the Supervisor, manager, director, or military boss to LEAD. He said, "If you desire to do something worthy of remembrance, lead your personnel and set the example--see how cheerful they will be." I have been in business for a long time and I found that this book is key to enhancing the character of the leader and the subordinate. I will be sharing this book with the entire organization. This book is a must-have on the desk of any place of business. I have read it 3 times and it continues to speak widsom and leadership for success.

  Outstanding Book!!! , 10/10/2007
Reviewer: Gail Nolaq (Texas)
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish and I plan to pass it on to my co-workers and family. I highly respect the work Mr. Collins put into this book. There was a lot of research and experience beaming from the pages. Evidently, he enjoys serving America as an active duty Navy Officer to have over twenty years and still going. This book will be the Success/Character-Building Anthem for the 21st Century leadership. I recommend all people in positions of leadership to use the material and share it with all you know. It really is an awesome read. It has achieved its goal and provided me with RADIANT LEADERSHIP.

  EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP BOOK , 10/21/2007
Reviewer: Thomas Howard
I have read several books on Leadership and Success. The Radiant Powers of Success differs in that it does not focus the leader's (or would-be leader) attention on getting rich, or money talk. Collins eloquently provides valuable information on getting the right powers (character) for success to inevitably occur. I am beginning to pursue an occupation that have been burning inside me for years because of this book. Collins teaches that a leader must be in the right occupation in order to succeed. He said that a leader may be in the right business, but the wrong department of it. That was me! Collins says that successs is in the student, not the university! In America everyone is looking to make money off other americans. people want to be rich and deceitful. This book in written with the leader's true success in mind. It starts and ends with the individual. This is an excellent leadership book!

  GRASSROOTS LEADERSHIP , 11/18/2007
Reviewer: Jordan Mimz
I just finished reading The Radiant Powers of Success. This book is full of experience and sound, grassroot leadership principles. Men of Old (i.e. Theodore Roosevelt, J.P Morgan, etc) all used these methods and principles. They stood out from the crowd. If you want to "Radiate" with the leadership that makes a difference, this is the book that will do it. You will not be disappointed. Worth the money!

  A BOOK THAT RADIATES , 11/24/2007
Reviewer: Brian Keowski
The Radiant Powers of Success reveals that SUCCESS starts within the leader. Managers, Supervisors, Military or anyone that is considered a leader will get something out of this book. I found it particularly interesting that instead taking the reader on some falsehood (as most success/leadership books do), Collins touched base on foundational truths that lie at the heart of a persons character. He starts with a "Table Talk on Leadership" and progresses provide a treatise on what success is. Then he says we must "Prepare for Success!" This book is a companion on all levels of inward growth and thought. It is a motivational masterpiece that will provide daily affirmations to keep you on track to realizing that Radiant Powers lie within...simply put, there is so much potential lying dormant in you that you must learn to ignite it so that it may radiate. I got it! A very good read and this book offers so much for the money! I will be purchasing copies for gifts to my adult sons Michael and Jeremy.

Excellent Book on Leadership! , 01/26/2008
Reviewer: James Simmons
This book was life changing for my career and me - personally. I read this title over and over again. I can't wait for volume two. If you want to read a book that will actually make a difference, this is it. It is motivating to read yet very thought provoking. I have had many conversations with some excellent leaders who have used the principles in this book. Collins leads the reader approach leadership simply with major results. Leadership is influencing others and to influence you have to be able to relate. Collins does a superb job helping the reader do that. He accomplishes that by using illustrations of real people and concepts that we can relate too. Read this book no matter what your role in life and influence is. However, you must not read it alone...talk it over with others and see how it will change your environment.

A Value Book For Young Leaders Too! , 01/30/2008
Reviewer: S. Stanley (U.S. Navy)
I had met you at the Barnes and Noble in the MacArthur Center Mall (Virginia). This book is really good. It gives good advice to young people and people that don’t have a specific job. This book provided a broader outlook and has been a inspiration to me. It shows how to go through life learning to manage it, so in the future people can make something out of themselves.

Reviewer: William "Bill" Knox
This book blew my mind...I was looking for a book that would help me with honing my leadership skills. What I walked away with was a reinventing of myself. I am looking at changing my occupation. In the chapter "The Right Occupation," Collins reveals some keys that allows you to evaluate are you in the right occupation of settling for something you do not fit in. This book is about Radiant leadership...starting from the inside out. All those Qualities of a leader are within everyone, we must realize it! The Radiant Powers of Success is motivating, thought provoking and cleverly written. Get two of these books and gift one to someone else - they won't be disappointed. You both will have success.   Leadership Companion Book , 02/08/2008
Reviewer: Phillip Crawford
As a Business and Management Consultant, this book has been the chosen title in my management and leadership seminars and training courses. Initially because it was small, but when all my students began commenting on how they really appreciated the contents and learned a lot from it, I started to share it with my colleagues wherever I go. Leaders who liked John Maxwell's works, and who want to remain informed of appropriate leadership in a time where globalization has become a part of our everyday life and has ignited increasing interdependency, multiplicity of mindsets and approaches, and multi-faceted workplaces, should take a look at this book. "The Radiant Leader" Collins presents, will provide you with the tools to implement the appropriate leadership style once you have assessed the situation, the followers, and the environment. He further provides successful leadership principles that start fom within you, no matter who you are. You will be success through reading this book.
