This is my true story about how an 11-year old orphan’s wish finally came true. The book describes some of my experiences in my younger years that helped me prepare to become a single father. An amazing thing about this book is that there are no villains in the book or in Neal's memory. He ran into impediments, misunderstands people and cowardly delays, yet he demonizes no one. There are frequent expressions of gratitude to people who understood, who helped, who cared for him and his son. Neal lives his life in gratitude for what the "big guy" as he expresses it, has done for him and his son. Being one of the first bachelor father in the country is a heart breaking story which is easy and enjoyable to read.
