Abstract:
This book, Citizen Billy, is the third book in the saga of Billy Costello, newly arrived in Sacramento, California, during the Gold Rush. His earlier legal training helps him to quickly become a lawyer.

He meets the girl of his dreams and is ready to settle down, but circumstances intervene several times to thwart him. He is young and jumps into many local projects. He has one rousing adventure after another.

Over time, he gradually grows into a well-accepted local townsman, a little uncertain what his next steps will be.
