Abstract:
The Confederation wants to know how the dreaded Mese are intercepting and destroying their warships.

But that question will have to wait as a revolution breaks out on the planet Daigca. Confederation brass must get the embassy people out—and they have to get them out now. The only units close enough to do that are two Special Action Teams on their way to a well-deserved rest and relaxation, so they are diverted to secure the embassy and provide protection for its people until they can be extracted or the teams are relieved.
