Abstract:
Street Saints of Compassion is an honest documented account of the destruction of the world’s largest emergency response system by FDNY. New York City’s 911 System takes more than one million calls a year making it the most active EMS in the world. Originally published as Civilian Warriors, Civilian Healers the question begs if FDNY reached out to the previous publishers’ to torpedo it? Was this another case of spineless retaliation by FDNY similar to what happened to John Fabbricante when he warned of the dire consequences of FDNY folly of dropping its maintance program for emergency backup power to the city’s firehouses.
