Abstract:
In rural southern Ohio, Bill Summers has spent nearly twenty years as a counselor at a battered women’s shelter. He’s heard countless stories of abuse, and been frustrated time and again to hear that a patient has gone back to her old life. With a failing marriage to go with his unsatisfying job, Bill is looking for something. Something to be passionate about. In Julianne Case, he’s found it. After falling in love with her, he decides she won’t ever have to deal with her maniacal boyfriend again.
