Abstract:
In the aftermath of four years of Civil War, the nation faces difficulties and struggles of reuniting after America’s bloodiest conflict. Follow the Barker’s from Harpers Ferry and the McBride’s from Boston as they experience the many hardships and the traumatic effects from the war. What did the war teach them and how did they learn to overcome its obstacles? Will the Barker’s be able to retain possession of their home Shenandoah? Where does Katie’s mysterious past lead them and what is the final outcome? Northern Fire is a story of challenge, hope, and redemption.
