Abstract:
Fighting with The Almighty is the story of a religious experience from the perspective of an ordinary man and his family. Philip Arthur Pemberton and the world face the unexpected as they are blindsided by God. It is through the tumult of his own life and that of the worlds that Philip grows up to see the great light of the Almighty. As he rises from despair, like a Phoenix, Philip and his family see what life truly is. They see from whence they came, and, as they will leave the world one day, they see to where they will depart.
