LOOSE CANNON is a fictionalized humorous narrative collection of stories about my experiences in advertising. It covers a thirty-year period from 1964 to 1994 while working for three different advertising agencies.

Abstract:
Loose Cannon captures what it was like to work in the advertising business during an era when creating and producing advertising was less disciplined. In the 1960s advertising was reaching its zenith. The war was over and the demand for consumer goods was insatiable. Magazines were still primary sources of entertainment and television was capturing the country. All of the incidents related in the book actually happened and they are laid out in chronological order spanning the thirty years that I spent in advertising. Though unintentional, when reading this book one might be reminded of “Chance the Gardener” from Jerzy Kosinski’s Being There.
