Abstract:
The book describes events and episodes that occurred in schools and classrooms where the author worked during his nearly forty years in education. His experience includes serving as a teacher, administrator, and college professor. Teachers and retired educators will identify with many of the situations described in the book and prospective teachers will gain a better insight as to what it means to be an educator. Additionally, opinions regarding political correctness, zero tolerance, teacher unions, merit pay, and other controversial topics in education are expressed and discussed.
