BEING ARMED WITH STREET SENSE , 05/16/2008
Reviewer: Dr. Jessie D. McDonald, Ed. D., Ph. D.
This book contains information that the average parent would overlook, but should be aware of. If you are raising a child, this is an item you must put on your 'to do list'. I am an educator and has trained law enforcement agents for the United States Fugitive Task Force for well over twenty years and this is the kind of information that officers relay to parents, after the fact. They should have been armed in the begining. This author is one of my son's and he was raised with the same precautions that are mentioned in his book. When I was raising my son's there was a physical and real threat in Atlanta,Ga. when young Black boys were being abducted on a large scale. I was forced to use common street sense, with logic to protect them and at this time they range in ages, 45,43 and 38 and I never had to get one out of jail, or take one back to school. I strongly recommend a parent to buy this book, if for no other reason, have an understanding of the possibilities that are waiting on the streets, and probably in your neighborhoods. Awareness allows and gives a reason to be caution to prevent an unpleasant incident. Hindsite is the mother of grief. After the fact, you can always see what you should have done to prevent a situation, but it is always too late for you. Best wishes to the readers, as well as my son, Sincerely, /s/ Dr. Jessie D. McDonald, Ed. D., Ph. D.

  Outstanding Book! 4 Thumbs up , 05/16/2008
Reviewer: Doris Lee H.C.M.
This is a really a good book, straight forward but really good. It has lots of information that I never knew exist and im sure other adults will agree as well. We plan to recommend and read the book to our youth groups, and use it as a street-smart precaution guide. Thanks for remembering the children of the future. Doris Lee H.C.M. and, Youth Councilor
