Abstract:
August 24, 1588:

In a romp through Shakespeare’s London, fortune hunters and fools, an orphaned heiress, a puppeteer and a courtier escaped from his duties collide with painted bawds and clever thieves at Bartholomew Fair. A crusading do-gooder, his shrewish wife and assorted terrified and terrifying Puritans find themselves confronting their worst fears and their greatest hopes in a spectacle of sights and smells, sounds and flavors: dirty and magnificent, heroic and squalid, raucous, refined and hilarious all at once, all finding peace after twelve hours of action, mayhem and comical twists, caught up in the mad swirl of Bartholomew Faire.
