Tombstone Whispers

Mr. Nixon's "Writing Expressions" Class Tombstone High School (Author)

ISBN: 0-7414-4944-7 ©2008
Price: $10.95
Book Size: 5.5'' x 8.5'' , 92 pages
Category/Subject: FICTION / Alternative History

Historians wash all emotions from their accounts of our past lives. Tombstone Whispers restores life to the historical characters, making them real and interesting.

The genre of this novelette is historical fiction. The basic premise of the story was to introduce a common thread – in this case reporter Stilson Hutchins – that gives the reader a human interest perspective about select daily events occurring in Tombstone, Arizona, as history was being recorded during its silver glory days.

I'm one of the writers of this book, and I want to put in a few words about it. We, the students, put in a lot of work into this book, thinking it was only for a grade. Our teacher had told us it was going to be published, but we hadn't actually thought it was going to get published. I personally enjoyed helping to write this story, and I put everything I could into my part of the story. I want others to enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. I admit that perhaps it could have been written better if adults had done this, but I think that for high school students, we did a fairly good job on this book.
