Bureaucracy for the Innocent is a tongue-in-cheek exposé of the politics of the workplace. Whether one pursues a career in academics, the military, government, religion, or corporate America, common denominators are encountered at every turn. Types of co-workers, codes of behavior, and language cut across all boundaries. Dr. Stone does a masterful job of describing the political milieu awaiting novices in any field of commerce and offers some sage advice about how to deal with bureaucrats, as well as ways to cope with the tedium of life in the trenches.
