Chief Sergeant of Police William O’Shauney finds prejudice from his constituents’ right in his office. These cruddy male officers feel an Irish man should not be running the Manhattan Police office.

Abstract:
The year is 1921-1922 in New York City. Amidst Irish prejudice, strife, and romance, the O’Malley family finds their dilapidated sandwiched tenement circumstances gradually change by their driven-daughter Darmeen. Her aim is to bring them out of these ghetto-like living ways. Darmeen is always appreciated for her efforts, but her wild younger sister; Maureen, is after what her sister has including her new husband, Shawn O’ Donnell. Since she was fourteen and maturing she eyed her sister and Shawn dance at the Irish jigs (held in the back of the tenements in the nicer weather) and decides she wants him too. Her mother Sarah is ready to pull her hair out with Maureen’s sly gimmicks’.
