Abstract:
Cheri is raised in polygamous commune. The faith believes men must have ‘plural wives’. Her commune secretly allows men watch girls shower to pick brides. Cheri loves Lester even though he’s gay. They run away when eighteen and to earn travel money Cheri dances unconcerned in a strip club. Cheri becomes a nurse scheduled to marry a rich patient tomorrow; she sees a gangster kill him. She escapes, hides, and outwits mobsters hired to kill her. Working as a promiscuous live-in maid for a gigantic Maine estate she learns the lecherous owner is the crime boss. She must escape.
